Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

 

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets forth the rules and responsibilities for using the CodeHunter platform and services (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP, along with and in addition to the documents and data referenced below.

 

2. User Data Submission

 

  • Users may submit files and data to the CodeHunter platform for analysis.
  • The platform may uncover personally identifiable information (“PII”) embedded within submitted files, even if such data was not intended to be shared by the user.
  • Users retain ownership of the data they submit; CodeHunter does not claim ownership of user-uploaded data.

 

3. Use of Submitted Data

 

  • By submitting data, you grant CodeHunter a limited license to use such data solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Services.
  • CodeHunter may create anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data from submitted files for internal purposes, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
  • CodeHunter will not use user-submitted data for purposes beyond operation and provision of the Services (e.g., model training, product improvement) unless explicitly agreed in writing.
  • If you are an enterprise customer, your data use is governed by your Customer Agreement or Data Protection Addendum, which may specify additional rights and obligations.

 

4. User Agreement to Legal Terms

 

  • Users must affirmatively agree to the CodeHunter Terms of Use before first accessing the Services, either via:
    • Clicking an “I Agree” checkbox during account creation or first login; or
    • Executing a Customer Agreement or Master Services Agreement (“MSA”) with CodeHunter.
  • For enterprise customers, each individual employee using the platform is covered under the Customer Agreement, and separate assent is not required from individual employees.

 

5. Third-Party Services and Subprocessors


  • CodeHunter may utilize third-party software, tools, or services (“Subprocessors”) to analyze user-submitted data. This may include open-source tools, applications, and other services necessary to provide the Services.
  • Users acknowledge and agree that such Subprocessors may have access to user-submitted data solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Services, subject to applicable privacy and confidentiality protections.

6. Prohibited Uses

 

Users shall not, nor attempt to:

  • Submit files or data containing malicious code intended to harm the platform, other users, or third parties.
  • Use the Services to collect, store, or process personal data outside the scope permitted under the Privacy Policy or applicable Customer Agreement.
  • Circumvent, interfere with, or attempt unauthorized access to any CodeHunter system, Subprocessor system, or third-party services integrated into the platform.

 

7. Enforcement and Termination

 

  • CodeHunter reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to users who violate this AUP.
  • Repeated or severe violations may result in legal action.
  • Enterprise customers remain responsible for ensuring that their employees comply with this AUP.
